Argentina has terminated without the imposition of any measures its AD investigation on mainland Chinese sprockets, chain sprockets, and crown/pinion, crown/pinion/chain, crown/chain and pinion/chain sets, presented in common packaging, of the kind used on motorcycles (including mopeds), classified under NCM 8714.10.00.

Brazil Announces Schedule for AD Sunset Reviews on Mirrors, Pens and Magnets. Brazilian authorities recently announced updated schedules in the on‑going AD sunset reviews on mainland Chinese unframed mirrors classified under NCM 7009.91.00, ball‑point pens classified under NCM 9608.10.00, and ring‑shaped ferrite magnets (ceramic) classified under NCM 8505.19.10. The next steps in these proceedings are summarised below.

• Unframed Mirrors – hearing (7 October 2021), closure of evidential phase of investigation (8 November 2021), deadline for data and information contained in the file (29 November 2021), issuance of technical note with essential facts under analysis to be considered in the final determination (20 December 2021), deadline for presentation of final submissions by interested parties and end of instruction phase (10 January 2022), and issuance by SDCOM of final determination (24 January 2022).
• Ball-point Pens - closure of evidential phase of investigation (18 October 2021), deadline for data and information contained in the file (8 November 2021), issuance of technical note with essential facts under analysis to be considered in the final determination (6 December 2021), deadline for presentation of final submissions by interested parties and end of instruction phase (27 December 2021), and issuance by SDCOM of final determination (17 January 2022).
• Ferrite Magnets - closure of evidential phase of investigation (11 November 2021), deadline for data and information contained in the file (1 December 2021), issuance of technical note with essential facts under analysis to be considered in the final determination (26 December 2021), deadline for presentation of final submissions by interested parties and end of instruction phase (18 January 2022), and issuance by SDCOM of final determination (2 February 2022).

Brazilian authorities have also extended for a period of up to two months from 19 December 2021 (from 26 December 2021 in the ferrite magnets probe) the deadline to issue a final determination in these proceedings.
